The Guidance and Employability Team are hosting its annual volunteering fair on Thursday 23rd February from 11am – 3pm in the Queen Anne Court 063, Greenwich Campus.
It is a great opportunity for you to find out what’s going on in the world of volunteering and to gain some incredible employability skills.
This is also part of Student Volunteering Week (20th – 26th February) and as quoted by Nick Hurd (MP, Minister for Civil Society):
"Young people should think seriously about volunteering. As well as offering them a great opportunity to develop new skills and give something back to their community it's also a way to get fantastic work experience for their CV. Student Volunteering Week 2012 is a great opportunity for young people to find out about how they can get involved."
There are a range of organisations that are taking part such as London Wildlife Trust, Discover Greenwich, Lewisham Youth Offending Team, Kids Company and Young Enterprise London. You can either sign up in advance by e-mailing
volunteering@gre.ac.uk or just turn up on the day!
